I work with historic maritime photography, restoring and curating images that would otherwise remain hidden in archival collections.
My focus is on early 20th century sailing vessels—where craftsmanship, design, and ambition shaped a distinct visual culture at sea.
Silent Regattas – 1900 is a continuation of this work. The series presents a curated selection of photographs originally captured by John S. Johnston, carefully restored from archival sources including the Library of Congress.
Each image is treated as both a historical document and a visual composition, with the aim of preserving its original atmosphere while revealing details lost over time.
Through this process, I seek to create a connection between past and present—offering collectors a way to experience maritime history as both image and object.
